Only Boys Aloud is a Welsh male choir formed in 2010 as part of the “Only Boys Aloud” initiative, which aims to provide young men in Wales with opportunities to engage in choral singing and personal development. The choir gained widespread recognition when they auditioned for and reached the finals of the reality TV show “Britain’s Got Talent” in 2012.
Comprising young males aged 14 to 19, Only Boys Aloud aims to foster teamwork, discipline, and a sense of community through the joy of singing. The choir’s repertoire spans various genres, including classical, pop, and Welsh hymns, showcasing their versatility and the richness of Wales’ choral tradition.
Beyond their success on “Britain’s Got Talent,” Only Boys Aloud has continued to perform at various events and collaborate with other artists. Their impact goes beyond musical achievements, as they play a vital role in promoting the importance of choral music and cultural heritage among Wales’ younger generation.
