So Solid Crew

So Solid Crew is a pioneering British garage collective that emerged in the early 2000s, playing a crucial role in popularizing the garage and grime genres in the UK. Formed in London, the group initially started as a garage act but expanded its influence across various urban music styles.

The crew’s breakthrough came with their debut single “Oh No (Sentimental Things)” in 2001, followed by the iconic hit “21 Seconds” later that year. “21 Seconds” not only topped the charts but also earned them the BRIT Award for Best British Video in 2002. So Solid Crew’s distinctive style, characterized by energetic beats, rapid-fire lyrics, and a fusion of garage, hip-hop, and R&B influences, contributed significantly to the evolving landscape of British urban music.
